Where Will Roy Oswalt Be Traded To?

Reports per Yahoo sports baseball news today say that he wants to be traded from the Astros and that the Twins and Mets are possibilities for where he could land. Any thoughts on this possible trade?

Trade Some Astros

This season, some time in July, a mass trading should be done. The team is not going anywhere this year. The team is old and we need to get some new potential stars for the future. Berkman and Oswalt should be on the block this year. They are both on their way down but could be of great use to teams that only need a player or two to win it all this year. I would keep Carlos Lee. His salary is too high to trade probably but not only that, he is worth every penny. He is a constant producer on the team. The team could get some good prospects for Berkman and Oswalt. Berkman is in the last year of his contract and has said he would like to win a championship. I think he will leave after this year. Oswalt has talked about retiring when his contract is over, which I believe is 2011. I don't see Drayton McLane trading either. He is not much of a baseball person. He is going to let them walk away. Anyone else have opinions on this?

Houston NL Only League Needs Owners

We are a Roto NL Only 5X5 League. This is our 20th year so we will be around next year. It is a Draft League (no player salaries). We just pick our players in a Draft Order. It is not a Keeper League so you will be starting even with the rest of us. The fee is only $35 with money to the first two places of the eleven owner league. We will meet in Houston for the Draft on April 3 and do everything else on the CBS Sports site. If you have interest, send me an email at bigmck@sbcglobal.net
Thanks,

Carlos Lee

I have heard on the radio more than once about how Lee is overpaid for what he does. I have read on here that he is slipping. He has been on the Astros for three years. He has hit around 30 HR a year, has 100 RBI and has hit over .300 for all three years. I wish we had more players like him. I sure would rather see him at the plate than Berkman. He does make alot of money, but he earns. I just don't understand why folks rip him.

Astros Radio Announcers

Over the years I was one of those that was critical of Milo Hamilton. Since they got the two new guys last year, Dave Raymond and can't think of the other guys name, I have been more appreciative of Milo. I hated to see Alan Ashby go. He did a good job and had special insight since he was a player. I like the TV guys alot, Bill Brown and Jim Deshies. I just can't take Raymond and what's his name. Do any of you feel that way?

Is There Any Hope???

I just can't understand where Drayton McLain is coming from. He refuses to spend alot of money on the team with quality free agents and he refuses to get rid of salary and go young. He tries to make everyone believe they are contending when in fact that is far from the truth. I can't see any way that next years team can be anything more than a mirror image of this years, with a few minor changes. It will have a few players that have big names but never made it like Kaz Matsui and a few journeyman like Geoff Blum. I am very frustrated. Get rid of these guys and go young.

How Good Are The Astros???

A month ago I had written them off. No pitching at all and the hitting was not doing that great. They have managed to get above .500 and are playing the good teams on an even basis. I still don't believe they are a playoff team, but they keep hanging in there. If they beat the Cards the next two games, first place will be very close. Do you think the team is for real or will they fall by the wayside?
